Terms of Service
These terms cover your use of MrWiseMax. They are written to be read, not to be skipped — the important parts are that the app is free, that its figures are only as good as what you type into it, and that it is not financial advice.
1. Agreeing to these terms
By signing in to MrWiseMax you agree to what follows. If you do not agree, please do not use the app. If you are using it on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you are allowed to accept these terms for it.
2. What MrWiseMax is
MrWiseMax is a free web application for planning around recurring money. You tell it what your accounts hold, what you are committed to paying, and what you are paid. It walks those charges and paydays against your balance in date order and shows you what is covered over the next month, three months, six months, or year — and, when the money does not stretch, the date it runs out.
It is a calculator over figures you supply. It has no connection to any bank, payment processor, or financial institution, and it cannot move, hold, or access money.
3. This is not financial advice
MrWiseMax does not give financial, investment, tax, accounting, or legal advice, and nothing it displays should be treated as such. Its projections are straightforward arithmetic on numbers you entered by hand. They do not account for interest, tax, bank fees, overdrafts, penalties, inflation, exchange-rate movement between now and a future date, or anything at all that you did not type in.
A green "everything is covered" reading is not a promise that you will not run short, and a shortfall warning is not a prediction that you will. Before making a decision that matters, talk to a qualified professional who knows your circumstances.
4. Your account
- You sign in with Google. Keeping that Google account secure is your responsibility, and anyone who can access it can access your MrWiseMax data.
- You must be at least 13 years old to use the app.
- Accounts are for one person. Please do not share yours.
- Tell us at mrwisemikeyt@gmail.com if you think someone else has got into your account.
5. Accuracy is on you
Every figure in MrWiseMax is one you entered. Balances in particular are a manual snapshot — the app records what you said an account held and the date you said it, and it does not check that against your real bank. If a balance is stale, a charge date has moved, or an amount was mistyped, everything downstream of it will be wrong in the same way. Keep your entries current and treat what the app shows as a guide, not a bank statement.
Exchange rates come from a free public feed and update roughly daily. They are indicative only and will not match the rate your bank actually gives you.
6. Acceptable use
While using MrWiseMax, please do not:
- Break the law, or use the app to plan or carry out anything unlawful.
- Try to reach another person's data, or probe, scan, or interfere with the service's security.
- Enter anything unlawful, abusive, or infringing into the app.
- Automate, scrape, or hammer the service in ways that degrade it for anyone else.
- Resell the service or present it as your own.
We may suspend or remove accounts that do these things.
7. Availability, changes, and cost
MrWiseMax is free, and is provided as-is with no guarantee of uptime. It runs on free hosting tiers and may be slow, briefly unavailable, or interrupted for maintenance. Features may be added, changed, or removed, and the service may be discontinued altogether. If it is ever shut down, we will give reasonable notice so you can copy out anything you want to keep.
Because it is free, please keep your own record of anything you cannot afford to lose. Do not rely on MrWiseMax as your only copy of important financial information.
8. Your content
The entries you create remain yours. You grant us only the narrow permission needed to run the service: to store your entries and display them back to you. We claim no ownership of them and will not publish them. How they are stored and protected is set out in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.
9. Our content
The MrWiseMax name, logo, design, and code belong to their owner. These terms do not transfer any of that to you, beyond the right to use the app as intended.
10. No warranty
The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that its calculations will suit your situation.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, MrWiseMax and its operator are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss, nor for any lost profits, lost savings, lost data, missed payment, overdraft, fee, or financial decision made in reliance on the app.
Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, and some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions, in which case they simply do not apply to you.
12. Ending your use
You can stop at any time by no longer signing in, and you can ask for your account and data to be deleted as described in the Privacy Policy. We may suspend or close accounts that breach these terms, or if the service is discontinued.
13. Changes to these terms
These terms may be updated. When they are, the date at the top of the page changes, and material changes will be flagged in the app. Continuing to use MrWiseMax after a change means you accept the updated terms.
